He's older, and a bit different now, but he is still Crow after all, so I'd love to hear any tips or comments on how I play him. Anon should be on, so don't hold anything back!

BASIC INFORMATION:

Crow is in his early twenties, and dresses quite differently during the Shaman Tournament. He's had his markers tattooed into, and also bears long serpent tattoos along his arms. While he still wears his arm warmers, his headband is a different one, and his earrings are a silver-plated bird's skull and serpent's skull. He also wears bandages over his shins and feet, with simple sandals for footwear, and from there has rolled up pants, a poncho of sorts tied around his waist with a cord belt, and a thick sleeveless shirt.

He also seems a bit tanned compared to doubles, due to spending so much time in the desert on the way to the Patch Village.

Further detail and notes are below, and are additionally covered in fanfic form, located here.

 5Ds Canon Differences

  • During the battle against Godwin, when Crow successfully destroys Quilla with his bike he falls through the spaces in the Condor Geoglyph; before hitting the ground, the spirit of Aiapaec possesses his being and brings an end to the fight himself... ...By absorbing the Condor, killing Godwin, and then doing the same to the King of the Netherworld.
  • Due to these events, when the others stand up against him Rua is killed; however he's brought back as the purified 'Lifestream Dragon' rises from the killed Netherworld King's sludge, and the Crimson Dragon marks him with the tail; he then exorcises Crow's being of all that Aiapaec absorbed, and as Crow himself fights for his body again, the God is expelled from his body.
  • By these events combined, not only is Crow hospitalized long enough for his kids to end up in Martha's care, but Rua takes his place as the fifth Signer.
  • Aiapaec being restricted to the living realm causes the de-powered God to choose to pester Crow; after much debate, they end up inan awkward Shaman/Spirit partnership, which causes him to be absent for a large amount of time in the future.
  • It's this absence that prompts Aki to take up the sport of 'Riding Duel' early, which further brings the large possibility of Aki being the third D-Wheeler of team 5Ds right from the start. (Not that Crow doesn't complain about it.)
  • When the Dark Signers spirits were released, only those of Misty, Bommer, and Carly were revived. While most others moved on, Kiryu's spirit was unable to do so, and in fact merged with the reiyoku of his Earthbound God- which in itself was formerly a portion of Aiapaec's power.
  • When the Crashtown arc happens, Yuusei is not the one who travels there; Crow reads the letter first and travels on his own. There are no duels in the entire arc, and Kiryu himself haunts the mountain there due to his merge with Ccapac pinning him to it; he is, essentially, a 'mountain spirit', and one of great power at that. (Interestingly, the most powerful of mountain spirits were known as 'Apu' to the Inca)
  • Crashtown ends with Kiryu leaving a last message to his friends through Crow's body; after this, the coming tournament isannounced officially, prompting Crow to attempt to prevent Aki taking his place.
  • Unfortunately his attempts to train are spoiled by Team Catastrophe, making it happen anyways. However, suspicious of  the hook, he challenges them outside the tournament after they knock Team Unicorn out. In this battle, he recovers from a second crash using his first 'oversoul' in the Blackbird, before unintentionally frightening Team Catastrophe into forfeiting.
  • Later in his duel against Bolger, he doesn't find the Blackwinged Dragon.
  • During the rush through the Arc Cradle, Crow gives Jack the 'Z-One' card, and takes the twins using his Oversoul 'Blackbird', pulling their boards alongside his bike. He then duels Aporia with the twins.
  • Since Rua is already a signer, the duel with Aporia moves differently; the twins are targeted intentionally by Aporia, with the intent of increasing Crow's sensations of failure in protecting them- in the end, when Crow makes moves to destroy the devices on them with Furyoku, and summons them their dragons, he dies.
  • The Dragon however, honored by how far he has come from being the chosen host of the god Aiapaec, marks him with the heart- he then possesses his body, and acts through it to defeat Aporia.
  • The possession leaves Crow nearly dead; Aiapaec is forced to possess his body to get the kids out to safety, and leaves once they are. Because of this, Crow is unconscious until the very end of the duel between Aporia and Z-One.
  • Following the events of Arc Cradle, Crow doesn't make moves to join Sector Security. Rather, Jaeger, through what power he has remaining in Iliaster, gives him a certain level of status so that he can publicly assign him the memorial above Old Momentum under his care; Crow had been using the remaining facilities beneath it as rooms for training in secret up until then. With this, he's able to officially move there.
  • After the two year time-skip, Crow isn't approached by a Duel recruiting agent; this is largely because he never ended up taking part in any tournament duels. Instead, he's approached by a Patch Tribe officiant; this is around the point when the Shaman King crossover becomes entirely apparent.
Original Plot

Over the course of the 5Ds plot, Crow slowly but steadily gained the ability to oversoul his bike. However, when he agrees to take part in the Shaman King tournament and is being tested, he swiftly discovers that his bike will not be an appropriate medium for these fights; instead, he oversouls his Duel-Disk.

This creates a fairly effective OS- he uses it in his first battle, which, as it turns out, is against none other than Carly! Carly's death and existence as Dark Signer granted her fairly immense Furyoku reserves; she's partnered with her six fortune fairies for battle. Though she and the fairy 'Watery' prove strong, Crow wins his first qualifying match.

His next match isn't for another few weeks; he uses the time to refine his oversoul somewhat; however it does him little good. Sly, as it turns out, is also a shaman, and likely a natural born one. He defeats Crow quite soundly, and only stops due to the interference of a bystanding Yuusei and the observing Patch Officiant.

Recovery from this takes a bit of time; however in the hospital, both Carly and Yuusei visit. Carly offers to battle, but her spirits insist he get stronger first. When Crow asks Aiapaec how he can do this, Aiapaec takes the opportunity to step up their training; he tells Crow that he must increase his furyoku reserves. He must come to as close to death as possible and come back.

...He must walk through the still spinning Old Momentum that sits in the center and bottom of his new home.

Crow does so; it takes him almost a week, but he does so. It takes him a day or so to recover from it, but it's for the better; by training with Carly, he's able to not only alter his oversoul somewhat, he's able to refine his technique even further. And now, his third fight...

Is against NICO. Nico from Crashtown- now 'Satisfaction'- partnered with Kiryu himself. Somehow, they manage to tie strangely enough. ...Which is good really.

Because it means they both qualify for the tournament..! And so off they go after the short time they have before then; taking the plane to the USA... Being dropped from the plane... Being forced to create a massive oversoul to survive being dropped from the plane...

As they struggle to find a way to hitchhike to the Patch Village, he, Carly, and Nico are picked up by none other than Bommer however; Bommer's brother, Max, is a shaman as it turns out. Partnered with the 'Familiar of Red Nova' (Nova for short), they specialize in speed! At any rate, with their help they reach the village...

...And pass out. The Great Spirit flows through Patch Village; it's very powerful hahah. It is here that they meet Adam Kuruyama, and re-meet Sly as well. Adam explains that competitors in the tournament must fight in teams however... And with that in mind, Sly looks at his options.

Carly uses cards as a medium, and duels, if at least for recreational. Crow aims at pro-dueling after all this; he just needs to get his name out there..! And Max is sibling to Peru's champion, and aims for dueling himself- made obvious by the sidecar.

Nico and Adam are both dragged off, despite Nico's hushed protests that she duels as well- and thus the teams are... Uh. Decided apparently!!

Meanwhile time for more training. The Great Spirit's presence has raised all of their furyoku reserves- it saturates the land in spiritual power, and with three months before the tournament moves to its base location they have no where to go but up in power; by the time those three months pass, and the group is ready to be flown off to the location of the Shaman King Tournament, Crow's power has risen considerably. His technique for Oversoul is completely different, and his clothes are replaced for battle. His criminal marks are laced with hair-thin patterns meant to channel his power, and he has on his ears two earrings; one a snake's skull, the other a small raven's skull.

He and Aiapaec are ready, along with their team!

...Regardless of what happens next.
